More simple "choose your own adventure" than true "game book" its a bit of fun for the price. The setting is fresh for the genre with lots of fun pop pirate tropes. The story is short and seems pretty linear after my single play through. The writing is good and makes it fun.

I was in the mood for a good pirate adventure. However, this storys strange decision to mail sorcery and piracy just took me out of the mood. I guess for $.99, it isnt bad. Still, this couldve been much better. The writing isnt bad, I just didnt believe in the universe that the author created. Also, there were a few glitches. I purchased a pistol and a sword, yet every time I went into a fight, I was constantly unarmed?

Sorcery! And Sorcery! 2 are amazing. But this lacks much needed and liked visuals like sorcery has. I wish there were more options, too. But, it is a good way to get into games also by inkel like the awesome sorcery games!

I wouldnt say it was impressive, but it was a fun little diversion. Couple of things I noticed on one play through they might want to fix: the author strays from second person from time to time, saying "I" instead of "you." Also, when I bought an animal (I think it was a weasel?) at the shop, there was no page- it was just blank. Overall, not earth shattering but worth the buck.

Look if youre looking for another Sorcery or 80 days look elsewhere because that is not this game. But if youre looking for a fun little choose your own adventure game easily worth 99 cents then give this game a try.
